Care & Maintenance

Canvas Care

Rinse with fresh water after salt exposure. For stubborn stains, use mild soap and a soft brush — never bleach. Allow to fully dry before storing to prevent mildew. Our solution-dyed acrylic is machine washable on cold; tumble dry low.

Wood Frame

Wipe down with a damp cloth after beach use. Once a season, apply a thin coat of spar varnish to restore luster and UV protection. Never use petroleum-based solvents. Store frames out of direct sun during long off-seasons.

Hardware

Stainless hardware resists corrosion but still benefits from a fresh-water rinse after salt exposure. If pivot points feel stiff, apply a drop of food-grade silicone oil. Never use WD-40 on pivot hardware.

Storage

For long-term storage, fold chairs flat, place the canvas cover provided, and store in a dry location. Do not store under a tarp outdoors — condensation trapped under tarp will eventually compromise even marine-grade materials.

Annual Service

Once a year, check all pivot bolts for tightness and re-apply varnish to any areas showing wear. Replacement canvas, hardware, and wood components are available directly from us — contact for pricing.
